Sheridan offers students residences on both the Davis and Trafalgar Campuses. Residences are extremely popular because they are more than just a place to sleep. They offer you the opportunity to build friendships, gain your independence, get in on the action, and experience life on campus to the fullest. At Sheridan residences there's always something going on to keep you entertained, informed, and active in the residence community.
Students can enjoy a convenient, fun, comfortable, and safe living and learning. You're just steps away from class, campus labs, libraries and living among your classmates makes it easy to get together to work on projects. Take advantage of residence study rooms, lounges, cooking and laundry facilities, movie theatres and more.
The Residences
The Davis residence houses 354 students in 177 shared two-bedroom suites while the Trafalgar residence houses 346 students in 173 two-bedroom suites. In both, accommodations are fully furnished in an air-conditioned, smoke-free facility.

You have questions - residence dons have the answers. The residence life staff is available 24/7 to help you adjust to your new surroundings and answer any questions you might have.
Events and Activities
Life in residence means getting involved. Examples of events that are held for on-campus students include:

Security
All residences offer controlled main entrances, electronic cards for student rooms, sign in and registration for visitors, video recorded common areas and staff on duty 24 hours a day.

Fees
September to April rooms are available at both campuses for
approximately $5,200 including a $250 CAD refundable deposit. Residence fees include utilities, local telephone access, cable television, access to the Internet, and a furnished suite. Applications are accepted at anytime and are processed on a
first-come first-served basis. Make sure to apply early.

Student Resources
International Centre:
The International Centre is available to help you with anything from admission through to your arrival in Canada and all the way to graduation. Examples of their services include:
- Advice on selecting a career-oriented program, admission requirements and registration
- Assistance in answering questions regarding permits, extensions and immigration
- An orientation to help you become familiar with your new surroundings and with the Sheridan campuses
- Information about health insurance, on-campus employment, SIN (social insurance number) card
- Information and scholarships
- How to get help from or become a Peer Mentor
- Social activities are organized regularly - participation is optional
- Any other concerns you might have!
Career Counselling:
Sheridan has Career Counsellors available to meet with full-time students regarding future career and education goals. Employment Advisors are also available to assist you with locating employment, writing resumes and cover letters, interview skills, etc.
Student Advisement Centre:
As you adjust to college life, the Student Advisement Centre is your first point of contact for all of your Sheridan needs. The Centre provides information, support, general advice and appropriate referrals to other college areas. At the Centre, you get accurate information to help you get through the school year.
Tutoring and Study Groups:
If you are experiencing difficulty in your courses and think you may benefit from the help of a tutor, you can take advantage of the Career Centre's FREE Math and English tutoring, or get course specific tutoring for a minimal cost. Students can also sign up for Peer Supported Learning Groups (PSLG's) which are weekly review sessions for students enrolled in historically difficult courses (ie. Accounting, Java). PSLG's provide a chance for you to get together with people in your class to compare notes, discuss important concepts, develop strategies for studying the subject, and to test yourselves before your professor does, so that when he/she does, you'll be ready.
Financial Assistance:
Sheridan offers students the Financial Aid and Awards Office to answer any questions regarding financial aid or assist you in exploring all available resources. Scholarships are offered and can range from $500 to $5000.

Research and Writing Skills:
Students who struggle with research skills and citing/referencing can find help at Sheridan's Library. The Library offers workshops as well as works one on one with students to help teach you these skills. Through the Library you also have access to numerous research databases.
